Jacob Boykins is a New York and Los Angeles based photographer, currently pursuing a degree in Photography at NYU. Working primarily in portraiture, he focuses on the subtle and unguarded moments that reveal the depth of a person and the atmosphere of a specific time. His images often capture a variety of momentary expressions and intimate movements within balancing intimacy with a deliberate sense of composition. Grounded in observation and connection, Jacob’s work explores identity, self-presentation, and the emotional charge of image-making. Whether photographing friends, strangers, or styled subjects, he creates portraits that feel alive—resonating beyond the frame and inviting the viewer to the reflection of their own memory.
